Lake Havasu Convention & Visitors Bureau

Location, location, location. Perhaps it is an overused phrase but when you’re choosing a vacation destination it’s as important as getting up in the morning. Few RV resorts offer the unique sightseeing and outdoor opportunities as the Refuge Country Club and RV Resort. Although the resort is located in the desert, offering warm temperatures through the winter months, the Colorado River and Lake Havasu are close by creating a boater and fisherman’s paradise.
If you’d rather stay on dry land in the great outdoors, the resort is adjacent to the Havasu National Wildlife Refuge. Pick up a hiking map and start your search for everything from desert bighorn sheep to the endangered southwestern willow flycatcher.
And while many vacation destinations also offer great golf, shopping, festivals and cultural events. Not many offer the opportunity to visit an historical European architectural wonder. The actual London Bridge was moved brick by brick, 8700 kilometres to Lake Havasu City and reconstructed there in 1971. You can now take a walking tour of this authentic landmark without having to cross the Atlantic.
The first phase of the Motorcoach Resort at the Refuge Golf & Country Club includes 63 motorcoach sites and is expected to be completed by October of this year. Sites in this upscale luxury resort include full hook-ups and wifi, exclusively for newer Class A motorhomes 30’ or longer. Many sites overlook the championship par 70 18-hole golf course and the resort offers excellent golf and stay packages allowing RVers full access the fitness centre, pool, spa and clubhouse restaurant.
