This Heritage Day, the Grande Prairie Museum plays tribute to Canada’s 150 Anniversary of Confederation by celebrating life of Canadians both past and present.
The Heritage Village will host 'Canadian Animals from Down to Earth Petting Zoo', along with old fashioned carnival games and historic demonstrations in the village green spaces. We will also have Heritage Interpreters and local storytellers in some of the village buildings and a Cultural Karmesse in the Museum’s Community Room.
The Kermesse is a cultural exchange event that displays booths influenced by a variety of countries from around the world and celebrates Canada’s diversity. The booths will include lifestyle items and samples of food dishes for cultural exploration.
*Carnival games shut down at 3:30 p.m. to allow time for guests to redeem tickets for prizes at the prize booth.
