Manning Park Resort opens new premium cabins

Perhaps the most quintessentially Canadian experience you can have in the winter is to go to a cozy cabin in the woods with friends and family for some skiing, snowshoeing or ice skating.

Manning Park Resort is thrilled to announce the opening of its five new premium cabins for vacation rentals. Now more accessible than ever, the cabins have been under construction since last spring and are being opened this week to coincide with the startup of the winter operations. These cabins will be a great addition to the already existing 66 units of lodge rooms, cabins and chalets at the Resort.

Local contractor Barclay Fletcher constructed the premium cabins which sleep eleven people and feature a gas fireplace, loft, two bedrooms, a large covered deck and two full bathrooms. The new cabins will allow for more accommodation styles and availability to enhance the experience of winter activities available in the surrounding area which include: downhill skiing and snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and outdoor skating.

The cabins have been highly anticipated, with huge interest and support from the local community. Robert Carmichael, long-time season passholder and retired school principal, comments “These new premium cabins are beautiful. They will be the setting for many wonderful family & friends' get-togethers and good times at Manning Park Resort.”

With a peak snow base of 75cm, full winter operations kick off on December 8th and will remain open seven days a week all winter long. Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing is also open with rentals and trail tickets available at the Nordic Centre directly behind the Lodge.

Manning Park Resort, located 45 minutes east of Hope on Highway #3, has full resort amenities including a variety of accommodation types, swimming pool and hot tub, restaurant, pub, function and meeting space and outstanding recreational activities.
