El Monte RV helped transport the retired Space Shuttle Endeavor to its final resting place at the California Science Center in Los Angeles this past weekend. The retail and rental dealership supplied two motorhomes that traveled only 2 miles per hour while escorting the shuttle.

One of the two escorting motorhomes was used during transport as “mission control” for the team charged with securing and transporting the shuttle. The second motorhome was used by a film crew that recorded the transport.

“El Monte RV is honored to have been selected to provide two motorhomes as Endeavor makes its way through Los Angeles,” said Joe Laing, director of marketing for EL Monte RV, which is headquartered in Santa Fe Springs, Calif.

The Endeavour left Oct. 12 and arrived at the California Science Center the next day.
