The Ranger's lone engine option will come equipped with a 10-speed transmission.

Starting at $32,769, the 2019 Ford Ranger is in a similar price range as one of its competitors, the Chevrolet Colorado ($32,505). The Ranger will only come in a standard four-wheel drive version and Ford has yet to announce its other trim levels and prices. The base-model 4x4 XL SuperCab will come with a 2.3-litre, four-cylinder EcoBoost engine and 10-speed transmission. The 2.3-litre EcoBoost can haul up to 843 kgs (1,860 lbs), tow up to 3,401 kgs (7,500 lbs) and generate 270 hp and 310 pound-feet of torque. According to Ford, towing and hauling capabilities will exceed the V-6 gasoline offerings in the midsize pickup truck segment.
