As you may have read in the last issue of 4WDrive, we were pretty happy with the introduction of the all-new 3.0-litre EcoDiesel V-6 into the Ram 1500. Excellent power delivery with unheard of fuel efficiency makes owning a full-size all the more appealing and reasonable. It seems as though Wards Auto think as highly of the power plant as we do as it named the EcoDiesel to their prestigious Top Ten Best Engines list. The new EcoDiesel generates 240 horsepower at 3,600 rpm and 420 lb.-ft. (570 Nm) of torque at 2,000 rpm. Also available in the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee (read our next issue) Wards Auto judges tested the engine in a 2014 Ram 1500.
